Watercolors and such

Finally posting my 3 watercolor paintings I did. First one is a Spaceballs movie poster. Then a Game of Thrones book cover and then a Batman comicbook cover. First time doing this type of stuff so.. that was interesting. Glad I got to stay away from 3D computer stuff for a couple of months =D
You can also see these at my deviantArt

Across the Bridge

Finally finished this one! It was originally a sketch in my sketchbook that I did during a class... yes I was bored in class. I really like the bottom left part of the image but the upper right area is kind of... too shiny? I'm not really sure what is wrong but I guess I'll fix it sometime later. I'm just really glad I got to draw this since the past couple of months all I've done was 3D in Maya or something and if it was photoshop it was all flat textures that I later used in Maya. I should probably not do lineart for the backgrounds. It worked better like that with my previous drawings. Anyhow, this is Maiya, a character from a story I'm working on. She is a bug hunter/collector. She catches bugs and sells them to various people. She also lives in a space city.. although you can't tell by the background since the city is falling apart.

Spaceballs Poster Watercolors WIP

I'm taking an Advanced Drawing and Painting class now and I have to make a watercolor poster of a movie. Of course I picked Spaceballs, since it's one of my favorite movies ever... also its so much fun making fun of it... hence the industrial hairdryer in the guy's hands haha.
I'm gonna be done with this in about a week or so, and then I'll be working on a Game of Thrones book cover. Water color again of course. Hopefully I'll actually get into this by the time I'm done with the course so I'm thinking of painting a cerenti comic book cover!

Digital Lighting and Texturing Final Project

As the title says, this is my final project for the digital lighting and texturing class... I almost didn't make it in time rendering this but then I realized that I accidentally messed up some of the render setting so 1/5th of it took 17 hours to render. There was good reason to panic for me that day... but then I fixed it so it rendered on time and I got it printed and everything. Seems like I always do these things to myself the day before projects are due... too much stress but this is so much fun to do! I have a bunch of new projects in mind that I could do now that I know proper lighting and texturing techniques! =D Definitely one of the best classes I've taken so far.

A couple more Projects from my DLT class
